Runway 14/32 Decommissioning

On October 5, 2015,  OSU Airport will see the end of an era with the decommissioning of Runway 14/32. This was one of the original runways constructed with the opening of the airport back in 1943.  Due to a number of factors, it was decided to permanently close the runway.

Determining factors included: ongoing funding for maintenance, a degrading lighting system, annual number of operations on the runway, geometry of the runway, and recommendation of the RSAT (Runway Safety Action Team) members at the spring meeting.
