Don Scott Trot 2017: Registration is now open

5K on the Runway proceeds benefit charity

Running and walking enthusiasts alike will enjoy the Don Scott Trot: A 5K on the Runway, which begins at 8:00 a.m. on September 30.  Proceeds from the $35 registration fee will benefit aviation youth education programs at the airport. The 2017 5K t-shirt and medal commemorates the airport's 75th Anniversary with images of Aviator Brutus. 

"The 5K provides a view of the airport that is not regularly accessible to the general public,” said Airport Director Doug Hammon.

 “What more fun could there be than to run where usually only pilots in their airplanes are allowed?” comments Race Director Sam Sahlin. “This is a fun, family-friendly event that gives the basic to expert runner an opportunity to run a 5K route on runways and taxiways!”
